Enjoying the coolness of the day....BUT

This is a section of my living room
where I was trying to get some relief
from all the hot weather we were
getting here in Michigan. My husband and I
rent a little cottage out in the boonies and we
love it here. The only thing I wish we
had is air conditioning when the weather
gets 90 something with high humidity. It can
get pretty sticky without it, but today finally
has gotten cooler.

Unfortunately I got stung by something
today on my toe. Not sure what it was, but
I went into a frenzy and killed whatever
it was in the long grass by rubbing my
foot hard into it. No sense of finding it,
but boy does it hurt, and now it's quite swollen.
What the heck was it? A bee, wasp, a spider who knows....
Now I can barely walk... I hope this won't last long.

Enjoy your Weekend and God Bless
Sandy~

bring an offering, and come into his courts.

Sandi,
Good to See you again!!
Love the pic of your Living Room. I would die without air conditioning!!

Be sure to keep ice on your foot and take a Benadryl if you have one!

You poor thing! I hope your toe gets better soon and the cooler weather will compensate for your discomfort. Lovely room though :o)
Thanks for your kind words on my blog, they were much appreciated.

Have a blessed weekend.

Your little cottage looks charming.I got stung by a bee a couple of times and reacted so I had to take an antibiotic because the swelling started to move up my leg so please watch it carefully.

Take care,
Carolyn

Know this sounds yucky Sandy but you might try making a mud pack and placing it on your toe. If it was a bee sting it can continue to pump the poison in for sometime especially if you don't have the stinger removed.

Your living room looks lovely and cool even in hot weather!!

bee blessed

I am sorry to hear about your foot. I wonder if you stepped on a wasp. There are so many flying around here. Hope you feel better soon.

THAT'S a little cottage ?? It is so very darling....such a nice place to be for certian...is it near a lake?
Did you decorate it by chance ?

..But yes, I would have to have A/C...especially with the humidity. We here in Texas are use to humidty..but also have the A/C on almost 9 months a year.

Do you know how excited I am to see your living room again?
But I am not happy to hear about the bite you got. I will be worrying over you now. Get better Sandy! I hope that it isn't real painful.

Hi Sandy, I do hope your toe is better by now, nothing worse than a bee sting or whatever it was. Not very nice of it to do that!!! But I love the pic of your lounge... makes me want to sit back and relax, take care of that toe... Maryann

Hello Miss Sandy, thank you for dropping by my blog and leaving that sweet comment. I'm sorry to hear you can relate to my story, but I guess in the end we are stronger in our faith that HE is in full control.
Your home is absolutely gorgeous!

Living in So Cal we haven't yet seen the heat that is usually here by this time in July and for that I am grateful. I don't do well in heat, and humid and sticky is not my idea of fun. LOL

I hope your toe is doing better by now and that whatever stung or bit you got a good SMASHING! LOL

Hugs!

Hi Sandy :) I sure hope by now your toe is getting back to normal size. Now, did you go outside barefoot, or did you have sandals or flip-flops on? I usually go out with my flip-flops, except when I go out to our veggie garden, then I wear tennis shoes.

Guess what we just had installed yesterday ? Central air!! Woo Hoo, I'm loving it! No more of those darn noisy window air conditioners. We had a new furnace installed this past winter, and had everything needed for it for central air, and this week we purchased a used unit for outside, and a friend of hubby's got it all installed for us. It only took us 17 years of living here before we got it, LOL :)

Be sure to stop by for my Pink Saturday post, as I will be showing the Limoges chocolate pot AND the matching cups too!

Warmest hugs to you my fellow Michigander friend! Brenda

Ouch! I do hope your toe gets better quickly. I didn't realize you all were doing the 'flip em over I am done on that side' weather also. Been really challenging here ... our a/c went out the first day of the first heat wave.

Have a lovely day ~
