Restaurant and a Big Thank You for a Dear Blogger-

As of Saturday I received a package that I had no idea who it was from. When I opened up the box I found this beautiful package with pretty colored ribbons attached; I might use those colors for one of my bedrooms. At this point, I was very excited, so as I continued on and came across an envelope with a lovely card inside having the look of oldness to it. It came from the sweetest gal named Lady Pamela, who by the way has a very sweet Blog called Lady Pamela's Cottage and always posting wonderful pretty treasures and things to see . So there it was- this Gorgeous White Scuttle that I liked very much (I had viewed one on her blog that she had purchased for herself). I was also delighted to know she got it from a woman by the name of Nancy who has a Blog and a Website called Coeur d'Alene that sells all kinds of nice merchandise. I never knew this, but Nancy lives, in the same state as I do, which is Michigan and also has a Boutique Store just a little ways from where I live. So I'm going to have to meet her as soon as I get a chance and visit her store. She had done a marvelous job making it all so pretty. I want to thank you Lady Pamela for being so kind and generous, by blessing me with such a lovely gift that brought tears to my eyes, just knowing there are really some wonderful people out there that care, and thank you Nancy for pulling it all together for making it very special for me. - I truly LOVe It!! Nancy I know your off on a trip, but I do hope you get a chance to read my thank you to you soon.

The White Horse Inn, is a restaurant right in my home town, and even Nancy had eaten there sometime ago, and the food is so good. The restaurant also provides evenings with horse and carriage rides which is so romantic all done in white. I will have to take a picture to show you in the near future. This side of town is considered Horse Country..... and it is a real pleasure living here.

Feeling BETTER-

Hi Girls, I haven't had enough energy to post, but fortunately enough energy to visit other bloggers. Whatever happened to a regular flu or cold these days? What I had took a very long time to recover from. I am now feeling somewhat better... Praise God! ... for whatever it was.

My husband is now Working.... thank you Jesus! He has worked now for about 3 weeks, but during that time I was concerned because he had to take some time off due to getting sick as well. With him just starting out, there was a good chance of them letting him go.... some places just don't have the compassion of someone being sick for a few days. When you come to think of it... that's scary and sad at the same time.

Now with him being off to work, I'll be able get some projects done that were on hold for quite awhile. I'm so excited just to do a little bit to get ahead with some rooms that need tweaking. This also means I'll be able to post some of my rooms in the future, but it is going to take some time, especially when it comes to painting the walls- Yuk. I'm not too keen with all the painting because of the work that is involved taking everything out of the room. I don't know how most of you girls do it... you make it so simple. I think I need to hire some of you! You girls really blow my mind with the things you do so well and I'm so glad that you are out there blogging showing your incredible talents - its certainly is an inspiration to me.

The picture is black and white, but later I'll show you this in color with my little surprise I have in the corner of the room. It is going to take some work to get it finished but when it's done... it will be well worth the wait!

I just had to share this story with all of you, and I hope you don't mind, but I did get carried away with so many picture's on just one thing.

I went to the Salvation Army to drop some things off after cleaning out my home. As I was dropping off the box, a woman pulls up and gets out of her car and took some stuff out and on top, the first thing I notice was lace, beautiful lace that was in a cleaner's bag. My heart started beating real fast and I immediately approached her to see what it was she was giving away. She pulled it out from the bag and I couldn't believe it, there it was this beautiful dress with tons of assorted lace with the pretty color of pink underneath. Now ladies, after seeing this, I told her I would love to have it, talk about perfect timing. I was so excited to come home and really check it out and I already had some of the lace taken out. The possibilities of what I can do with this are endless. Don't you just love it when things go in your favor?

Summer doesn't last long enough.. here in Michigan-

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Labor Day weekend. Thursday and Friday I was busy having my yard sale trying to get rid of things before the weather starts getting bad. My goodness, where did the summer go, it has gone by so quickly; I can't believe we're going into fall soon. I'm going to miss the warm weather and the long hours of daylight; but I do enjoy fall!

Above, is a picture I took outside of the barn sale I was at for the white Wednesday post awhile back. Her grounds are just loaded with goodies all over the place displayed so nicely. I'm looking forward to her big event which takes place in the beginning of November. So many talented artists will be their to show there wonderful treasures to purchase. Can't wait!

White Wednesday Comparison-

Hi Girls, I am sorry to say, I will not be able to visit your sites right away because of the bandwidth being used up from doing so frequently and downloading many pictures. This is killing me, but I will eventually be visiting at a much slower pace. So please forgive me if I haven't been able to get to your site right away.

Today is showing comparisons of what I have had in the past up until now. The armoire is something I already had painted reluctantly awhile back, because of the fact I originally wanted it in the kitchen to match my other furniture, but if not here, maybe in another kitchen. But who knows when that would be. So I ended up painting it white where it sits in my living room. The shelf box piece is something I always desired from what my friend had. She finally decided to give it up, now its in my possession and I painted that as well. So, my question for you is what is your favorite, the orginal or the update?

Creamy Whites - Welcome White Wednesday

Hello Ladies, I don't know about you, but I love all the shades of whites. When I enter into a room full of whites my heart starts beating just a little bit faster. I know I'm hooked forever! The first two top pictures are taken from the living room, the bottom center is taken from my foyer. Some of you might of seen this table before, but on the top of it had changed. I do that from time to time. What do you think of the dress? I went into a wonderful Antique Store and their she was all decked out. Not pictured was a note right above the neckline that said I'M A VICTORIAN LADY... YOU MAY THINK I'M A PRUDE... BUT PLEASE FEEL FREE TO UNDRESS ME. I'M MADE UP OF DRAPES, CURTAINS, TABLECLOTHS, DOILES, AND JEWELRY ALL FOR YOU TO PURCHASE. Isn't this the cutest thing? What a wonderful idea!
